# Continuity receipt gate

Dependency-free Python 3 validator for `continuity.receipt.v1` JSON receipts.

Usage: `python3 continuity_gate.py receipt.json`

It rejects unknown contracts, missing fields/provenance, `INHERITED` provenance, malformed or non-contiguous evidence IDs, and a mismatched expected head. A receipt with `INHERITED` provenance must be independently verified before it is accepted; this gate intentionally fails closed.
